Dr. Nakayama is clinical professor, division of pediatric surgery, department of surgery, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. He is ACS Treasurer; Past-Chair, ACS History and Archives Committee; a Past-ACS Governor; and former member, ACS ACRS. He is a member of the ACRS ad hoc committee that is developing the new program for verifying surgical quality in rural hospitals.
