ACS

October 1, 2018

In the print edition of the July 2018 Bulletin, in the article “Gun violence and firearm policy: An introduction from the ACS COT,” the introductory sentence under “Emphasis on partnership, not politics” should have read as follows: “Although the COT has demonstrated that surgeons can collaborate to achieve the shared goal of reducing injuries, we have also learned that approximately 85 percent of ACS COT members adhere to one of two dominant, conflicting, and simplistic narratives about firearm ownership in America.”

The editors regret the error.
