ACS

March 1, 2018

The American College of Surgeons (ACS) and the Triological Society are accepting applications for their competitive grant program—the ACS/Triological Society Clinical Scientist Development Award—through May 21, 2018. The grant provides supplemental funding to otolaryngologists-head and neck surgeons who have received a new National Institutes of Health (NIH) Mentored Clinical Scientist Development Award (K08/K23) or who have an existing award with a minimum of three years remaining in the funding period as of October 1, 2018.

This award is offered as a means of facilitating the research career development of otolaryngologists-head and neck surgeons, with the expectation that the awardee will have sufficient pilot data to submit a competitive R01 proposal prior to the conclusion of the NIH K award. This award provides financial support in the amount of $80,000 per year for up to five years, or for the remainder of the term of existing grants, to supplement the K08/K23 awards. Funding is dependent upon receipt of meritorious applications.
